Bringing a Science Center to Northwest Arkansas

NWA Space is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to build a science center with a 150-seat planetarium, observatory, permanent science exhibits, and hands-on labs for Northwest Arkansas.

The center will be a place for all ages to gather and explore science. The center will ultimately be a set of iconic buildings that complement the local area located on the I-49 corridor with connections to the area bike/hike trails.  We hope to break ground within three years and open within five.

We will have an observatory, planetarium, robotics lab, classrooms spaces, outdoor rocket garden, and other fun experiences.

Our young people and those interested in careers in science and technology fields need a place to explore the fascinating world of science. Visualize a facility to host junior high, high school, and college field trips focused on science, technology, and design. Imagine a planetarium where you can look up at the night sky, view science related shows, and even explore the depths of space. Think of a facility to host robotics competitions, conferences, and traveling exhibits.

Help us bring a science center to NWA to light the imagination and curiosity of all.
