Winterfest 2026
NWA Space and Science is excited to support the Bella Vista Rotary Club’s Winterfest celebration; an indoor winter carnival for children ages 5-10 and their families with games, food and prizes!
We’ll bring a touch of cosmic wonder to this festive community event, sharing hands-on science experiences and stargazing opportunities with families and visitors. Our team looks forward to celebrating the season while inspiring curiosity and exploration—proving that science shines bright all year long!

NWA Space and Science, Inc. is honored to sponsor the Raye Montague Award, awarded to the highest-scoring majority-female team at the 2026 Arkansas Science Olympiad State Competition. Named in honor of Arkansas trailblazer Raye Jean Jordan Montague, this award reflects our commitment to encouraging young women to pursue STEM pathways. By recognizing outstanding achievement of teams comprised primarily of female students, we aim to foster inclusive excellence and inspire future generations of scientists, engineers, and innovators.

Rogers New Tech is emphasizing community service this year. We have been invited to come tell about our mission, vision, and the volunteer positions we are currently seeking. NWA Space and Science Center personnel will be talking to the high school students about volunteer opportunities to help build a science center.

This engaging event will provide opportunities to observe celestial objects through our high-quality telescopes. Arkansas PBS Family Day 2025
Family Day is a FREE event for families with young children put on by the Arkansas PBS Foundation with support from community partners in the area that are interested in giving back to the community. The goal is to create an inclusive environment where families, regardless of economic status, can come and enjoy a full day of fun with their kids.

Crystal Bridges Family Fun Night: Welcome to Fall, Y'all!
Crystal Bridges is hosting a Family Fun Night. Welcome to Fall, Y’all. The evening will include fall-themed crafts, warm beverages, glowing games, and other activities under the early evening sky. It’s always a fun and welcoming atmosphere. NWA Space and Science will support with a table to engage guests in conversations about constellations and the history of astronomy in relation to seasonal changes. We will also bring telescopes for star gazing—this year’s celestial twist makes a perfect fit.
Private Client Star Party
NWA Space and Science Center is excited to provide a start party for the Residents of Legacy Village Garden Homes. This engaging event will provide opportunities to observe celestial objects through our high-quality telescopes. Residents will have time to enjoy the night sky and ask all their questions. The full Moon will be bright in the sky, but we will still be able to view Saturn and its rings.

Westside Elementary Trunk or Treat
NWA Space and Science Center is proud to support the Westside Elementary Warriors PTO Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. This exciting community gathering will take place in the bus circle at the school, bringing together families and friends for an evening of fun and learning.
As part of our commitment to fostering education and curiosity, we will be participating by decorating a trunk and setting up a table featuring hands-on activities.

Arkansas’ fourth Dark Sky Festival in the Buffalo River International Dark Sky Park. Constellation tours and telescopic views of dark sky objects at night follow a fun day of educational and fun activities for all ages.
Sun & Moon on Dickson
Calling all Razorback fans and stargazers! After you call the Hogs, come to Dickson Street to catch a safe view of the Sun through our special filters. After the sun sets, grab a close-up view of the Moon through powerful telescopes before you go celebrate the outcome of the game.

Cosmic Masquerade fundraising gala
Embark on a fun-filled journey through the cosmos while supporting a great cause! Dinner, silent auction, dancing and star gazing. All proceeds will go toward the creation of a Science Center in Northwest Arkansas, inspiring future generations of explorers.
Tickets will go on sale in early June.

Fayetteville Farmer's Market
The Fayetteville Farmers Market, open since 1973, offers the finest in locally produced vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants, meats, baked goods, honey, eggs, jams, juried crafts, and fine art from the four-county area. All producers at the market grow and make their products in Washington, Madison, Benton and Carrol Counties.
